presented the X-Trem at the 1999 Motor Show in Geneva.
The concept of a multi-utility vehicle was reinterpreted over a length
of 6 m, based on a lengthened Mercedes M-Class. The aim was to allow
one person to easily load and unload the frequently heavy cargo (motorcycle
etc.). This is made possible by a specially developed X-Tra-Lift.
The X-Tra-Lift raises the platform which has been loaded at ground
level with the cargo onto the pickup at the press of a button. Of
course, this means that unloading as well is equally simple. The X-Tra-Lift
was adapted for other vehicles.
The X-Trem - just like the related, single-seater hovercraft - was
designed, developed and implemented through to the ready-to-drive
prototype by ESORO. |
